The 2.7kW Chillchaser Zeus patio heater is ideal to be used in outdoor areas as is completely weatherproof, it is ideal for commercial areas such as bars and restaurants or for domestic gardens or terraces to keep you warm on late summer nights, and is also ideal for workshops with it's overhead light, the unit has an IP rating of IPX5 which is fully weatherproof, in fact if you saw Dragons Den where it was featured recently you would have seen James Caan soaking the elements with a hose with no ill effect! Peter Jones commented that this unit is the future of patio heating.
Using the latest carbon fibre ‘far infrared’ heat technology the heater will warm people efficiently but will not cause the air or surrounding objects to become warm which means the unit is much more environmentally friendly than gas powered heaters.
The Zeus has 2 heat settings and low energy light, both of which can be controlled either by the control panel on the unit or by the remote control which attaches to the unit magnetically. The light head can be tilted into 4 positions.
The effective heating area is 4-5 metres at a 110 degree angle.
Built into the patio heater is a PIR sensor, this will automatically turn the light and heater off after 4-5 minutes if people are not within range. As soon people return the heater will switch back on.
For ease of movement the unit has 2 rear wheels so you can position the unit for best effect.
As a safety precaution the patio heater has a tip over and overheat safety cut out feature. The heater has a masterlock safety feature using the remote control to avoid tampering.
A free zipped cover is provided to protect the patio heater for long term storage.
