How does an Evaporative Air Cooler work?
Evaporative Air Coolers manage to cool the air by passing hot air through a special wetted filter, it uses a process called adiabatic cooling which means that when water evaporates into the air it needs energy to do so. This chemical change requires heat, therefore energy which is stored in latent heat is taken from the air molecules which has the effect of reducing the temperature of the air.
The process of adiabatic cooling happens all the time in normal life. Our own bodies for example perspire in hot weather, through evaporation the sweat dries and lowers our body temperature. Also whenever dry air passes over water, some of the water will be absorbed by the air which is why evaporative cooling occurs naturally near waterfalls or next to rivers, lakes or by the sea making you feel cooler.[custom_button text=”Visit our Air Cooler Shop” title=”Air Cooler” url=”https://www.aircomfortcentre.com/product-category/evaporative-air-coolers/” size=”large” bg_color=”#7891c9″ text_color=”#FFFFFF” align=”left” target=”_blank”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”A selection of our Air Coolers” color=”blue”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
