**Very important… Please read this before returning an item**
Please note this returns policy only applies to individuals (not to companies or institutions) who have placed orders online or by telephone, copies of our standard returns policies for businesses are available on request.
It is vital that you either use returns form included with goods or to email firstname.lastname@example.org and obtain an RMA (return material authorisation) number before returning any goods to us, we cannot accept delivery here without this number, the delivery may be refused and the courier will return the goods to you, we have so many dispatches that we need to be able to trace all parcels in and out. We undertake to deal with your returns responsibly and quickly.
This returns and refunds policy is in accordance with the Directive on Consumer Rights (2011/83/EC) brought in on 13 June 2014 This law applies to all e-commerce transactions within the EU where a consumer does not meet the vendor. Contracts between companies are not governed by these regulations, nor are personal caller collections.
Cooling off period
In the event that you are unhappy with a product you have bought from the Air Comfort Centre the law provides a cooling off period of fourteen days from receipt of the goods to inform us that you wish to return the goods and receive a refund, this policy applies to items bought directly via the website or by phone but not to businesses, institutions or personally calling customers who inspect the goods on the premises.
A full refund for the goods will be given by the same method you paid, however you will be responsible for the re-packing, arranging delivery and pay the cost of returning the item to us which could range between £5 and £100 depending on size, the goods must be returned in a good as new and re-salable condition, we will not bear responsibility for any courier damage in transit from you and you would have to claim costs from your courier in that instance.
Because of the nature of air treatment products, for hygiene reasons once used we cannot take back any used air filtration products such as air purifiers, air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, evaporative coolers, insect killers, ozone generators or any product which includes an air filter, also we cannot take back any ceiling fans or any other fixed installation items once they have been installed.
If you want to return an item within the cooling off period, then you must either used the returns form sent with the goods or email us at email@example.com, detail what you want to return and we will issue an RMA (returns authorisation number) you must write this number on the package before returning to us, a refund will be given within 2 weeks of receiving the goods.
Every effort is made to ensure your goods arrive in perfect condition, we double pack many items to ensure safe delivery, but if your goods are damaged in transit, in the first instance we would ask you to refuse the delivery, let us know this has happened by email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will replace the goods as soon as we can, if you do accept the delivery then you should inform us of damage by email within 5 days so that we will be able to make a claim on our carriers (we cannot accept claims for damages outside of this period), we will arrange to redeliver the order and to collect the damaged goods, please get an RMA as above, pack and label the goods. Please note… if you do not inform us of damages within 5 days of receiving the goods then we cannot accept the claim as we will not be able to claim from our couriers.
Faulty items within warranty period
If a product is found to be faulty on first use please let us know by email to email@example.com we will arrange to either ship another unit to you immediately and collect the faulty item or collect and refund, please get an RMA as above, please pack and label the goods before we collect.
If a genuine fault develops in a product up to 30 days from the delivery date you may ask us to either refund, replace or repair the product. This does not apply if the fault has been caused by the customer by damage or incorrect use.
If the product develops a genuine fault up to 1 year after purchase it will still be under warranty, let us know details by email to firstname.lastname@example.org , firstly we will ascertain whether the unit can be repaired on site, if not and after 30 days we reserve the right to be given the chance to repair the unit here or at our supplier, you will be responsible to pack and pay for delivery back to us or to the service centre, we will bear cost of delivery back to you, always get an RMA number (as detailed above) and write on the packaging before despatching back to us.
If your goods become faulty after the warranty period has expired we do offer a repair service for most items, let us know what the fault is and we will advise whether the goods can be repaired on site or if they have to be returned to us.
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law.
This legislation ensures that producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also ensures that internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste electrical equipment free of charge.
The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK
Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the components it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also to human health.
Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.
Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites and to achieve a high level of collection of WEEE for treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal.
Air Comfort Centre Ltd is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new electrical or electronic product from us.
For example, if a customer bought a new humidifier from us we would accept their old humidifier and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their old WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.
WEEE items can be brought directly into us at the address shown in our contact details or can be sent to us via courier at the customers expense.
Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below:
Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
